Famitsu has posted some information and screenshots on a newPuzzle Bobblegame coming to the 3DS. Under the working titleTobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D(which translates roughly to “Jump Out! Puzzle Bobble 3D“), the game is expected to be released in Spring of 2011. God, how I suck at Puzzle Bobble, so I can’t imagine how terribly I’m going to be when distracted by shiny 3D visuals. It’s one of three games I have for my Neo-Geo and, while I love it, it’s downright embarrassing to play in the presence of anyone else....

Realtime Worlds snuck an announcement in tonight for a new venture that they’re calling “Project: MyWorld.” According to the above trailer, it takes a 3D recreation of planet Earth and combines it with gaming and social media to do… something. Perhaps the concept is just too vast for my tiny brain to comprehend. The game shows elements of world construction, but I thought the world was already built. How would changes to structures in the virtual environment affect other players?...

Well, that was fast. The full roster of new characters for Capcom’sUltimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3has been revealed. Thegame was announced this morning, with only four characters revealed officially by Capcom. The leak comes directly from Capcom’s official site, which didn’t do a very good job of hiding character art for the remaining fighters on its own servers. Marvel Capcom That’s a total of 12 new characters. Can you guys please stop complaining about the lack of Frank West and Phoenix Wright now?...

I was fortunate enough to have a good friend pass me a copy of theLet’s Tapsoundtrack almost immediately after its Japanese release, and for months it was by far the most often-played CD in my car. Having been a fan of rhythm games for the past ten years or so, you get to the point where you know an incredible soundtrack from the moment those first beats begin, and theLet’s Tapsoundtrack had all the makings of a classic....

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1has been proudly called the game that fans waited sixteen years for. Although this is not strictly true (Sonic Advancewas great!), it has been a long time since we last enjoyed a “proper” 2DSonic. Sonic 4is that title, and despite notorious fan reaction to the contrary, this is the game people asked for. A traditional, retro-centric, two-dimensional Sonic. This is, in essence, Sonic’s last chance. If he can’t even perform in the genre that made him a household name, then the blue hedgehog truly is dead....

Next week’sRock BandStore updatefinallybrings Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell” — a song far better than “White Wedding” (yes, I said it) — to the game. Additionally, Tom Petty makes his debut in the game with two tracks, both of which you’re probably familiar with unless you want to make me feel like an old man and/or live under a rock. Also, other stuff! All of those tracks will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $1....

Yesterday, welearned a little bit about Sandswept Studios’Detour. Actually, we just took a couple of stabs since we only had an image (above) to work with. Today, Sandswept released some more information that helps form a decent picture of whatDetouris all about. Sandswept describesDetouras a “road-oriented” RTS with a “satirical twist on highway construction [and] environmental activist groups…” The game will put players into the role of a pseudo-highway planner. The basic goal is to build a road that will allow a delivery truck to reach a location at the far end of a map....

During a CapcomStreet Figther X Tekkenfan panel at San Diego Comic-Con this afternoon, a slide from Yoshinori Ono’s presentation section on upcoming releases teased a collaboration between…well, you see. We can’t say names! Ono says that he was asked not to mention any proper names, but he did confirm that the above image is from something that Capcom is working on. Wait, we’re not Ono. It’s Hello Kitty dressed as Chun-Li!...
