That was fast, eh? A scant week ago, I was putting together the post for voting in Series 3 of Backlog, my live straming effort to clean my collection of unfinished games (weeknights at 9pm Pacific on Destructoid’s Justin.tv channel). But considering that, even when you play as poorly as I have,Viewtiful Joe 2only has about 6-8 hours of content in it, it wasn’t going to take long. Now that I’m streaming the show for twice the length every night, we’re liable to blow through some of these pretty quickly....

You’d have to be extremely brave or extremely Nintendo-loyal to rock this NES controller backpack. Splash Damage is bringing its new shooterBrinkto both PC and Xbox 360, but the game’s creative director knows which version is best. Stating that console controls can’t match PC input, Richard ‘Rahdo’ Ham has explained that analog sticks arejust a poor man’s mouseand that the PC will always rule first-person-shooters. “No matter how hard we work on it to make the perfect analogue stick controls — and as an aside we have got really good analogue stick controls — it is a poor man’s mouse at the end of the day,” he states....

I’m going to go and cry now.] Russian publisher GFI and Codemasters have teamed up to develop a new installment in the classic action series,Cannon Fodderfor PC and Xbox 360. In the series, players must lead a small army of easily-killed troops through a variety of combat scenarios. GFI promisesCannon Fodder 3will feature a “classic isometric environment in full 3D, weather effects, change of time, destructible environment, physical water” and more....

Capcom readers haven’t been the happiest with the lack of content from the company, specifically in the form of their PS1 titles. Japan keeps getting flooded with old Capcom titles, while not too much has hit our shelves. Understandably, Capcom has had a lot of big name titles lined up, and so their PS1 library likely fell by the wayside. Well, SiliconEradug upa thread over atthe Capcom-Unity forumswhere Christian Stevenson has stated that they’ve gone and submitted some PS1 titles last week for approval and so we’ll likely start seeing several roll out within the coming months....

Oh, Mama! Our favorite home cook makes her debut on the 3DS with Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic, just announced today. In this game there’s 200 touchscreen minigames, as you’d expect by now, but in this version the 3DS’ gyroscope comes into play. You’ll make motions to crack eggs or flip pans using it. There’s about 60 recipes for you to see in glorious 3D. I bet you Mama’s a looker in 3D....

I buckled down with my PS3, and ignoring the giant pile of awesome games I have in my possession, I popped inMadden NFL 08into my console to give the game a test run. I was worried: was I going to get AIDS? Was my IQ going to drop and my muscles suddenly bulk up? Was I going to get an insatiable thirst for beer? Well, I think you can figure out the answer there....
