Backlog Series 4 voting begins now!

That was fast, eh? A scant week ago, I was putting together the post for voting in Series 3 of Backlog, my live straming effort to clean my collection of unfinished games (weeknights at 9pm Pacific on Destructoid’s Justin.tv channel). But considering that, even when you play as poorly as I have,Viewtiful Joe 2only has about 6-8 hours of content in it, it wasn’t going to take long. Now that I’m streaming the show for twice the length every night, we’re liable to blow through some of these pretty quickly....

Become a moving target with this NES controller backpack

You’d have to be extremely brave or extremely Nintendo-loyal to rock this NES controller backpack. Wearing this in school or in public would make you an easy target for those who “don’t get videogames,” and those pushing you around could just say they were trying out the buttons. Nonetheless, this is a good looking backpack — we’ll just admire it from afar. If you’ve got enough gamer geek pride,80’s Teeshas this officially licensed item for $40....

D3 says Onechanbara got some graphical upgrades for its North American release

When I played the Japanese Wii version ofOnechanbaraRevolution, I remember thinking to myself, “This could be a fun game if it didn’t look like sh*t.” That may sound pretty rude, but the grainy, hard-to-see graphics detracted from a game that should have been a blast — after all, you play as a mostly naked chick in a bikini! In a recent conversation withSiliconera, D3 actually talked a bit about tweaks being made to the 360 sequel,Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad....

Dead Rising 2 banned in the UAE

When Nick Chester saw this story, he suggested we pre-write and queue up stories for when the United Arab Emirates bansFallout: New VegasandCall of Duty: Black Opsas well. Violence, gambling and nudity were the main causes of distress, not to mention the game’s best selling points....
