The above trailer is for a game calledCapsized, which is in development for Xbox Live Arcade. It looks like a rollicking good time. Gorgeous art design, platforming and lots of shooting. It might just be the bits with the light, but I’m getting a realMetroidvibe from all of this for some reason. Rather than give it a dedicated space as is the case with most games, they’ve opted for a full-on Home takeover. Amidst the panic of the zombified Central Square, you’ll find aDead Islandminigame which tasks you with crafting items and withstanding the zombie onslaught....

Electronic Arts has announced that its survival-horror-on-a-spaceship title,Dead Space, has finally gone gold! The game is set to ship out to stores on October 14, so plan accordingly. Additionally, EA has revealed that players who purchased the game within the first two weeks of release will have the opportunity to download a platform exclusive suit for the game’s main character, Issac Clarke. The Xbox 360 will get the Elite Suit, and PS3 will get the Obsidian suit....

The music from theFinal Fantasyseries is epic. Hearing the music played live by a full orchestra is even more so. Unfortunately full orchestras are very expensive and I know from experience that if you try to kidnap one it is also prohibitively expensive because you have to feed all of them enough to play their instruments well. Thankfully, there is theDistant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasyconcert series so we may all experience the beauty ofFFmusic without resorting to mass kidnapping....
