A collection of images which parody fighting games have been created for Harvey Nicks’ big sale, and they look … well … kind of disturbing, actually....

We already knew that the new PS3 Slim wasdoing rather well in the land of the rising sun, but how are US audiences feeling about that shiny new package and price point? Well, pretty good, actually. In fact,GamesIndustry.Bizreports that the week Sony introduced the new model, sales actually shot up to 300 percent. Sony offered more details in a statement: Our top retailers have reported a 300 per cent lift in PS3 hardware sales and an increase of 140 per cent in total hardware revenue across the PlayStation portfolio when comparing the first week of September to the week before the USD 299 price adjustment....

Have you noticed howBayonettahas only ever been shown on the Xbox 360 until recently? Well, the less than magnificient debut of the PlayStation 3 version may have shed light as to why. Sega was showingBayonettaon the Black Box o’ Blu-ray this week in Tokyo and the word on the street is that it sucked. “While the 360 version on display looked crisp and smooth, the PS3 version was very blurry and the frame rate was all over the place,” writes1UP....

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced today that they will be publishing theSpeed Racervideogame, based on the upcoming film written and directed by the Wachowski brothers. Developed by the New Zealand-based Sidhe Interactive (GripShift PSP/PS3,Jackass: The Game,Barbie’s Sparkling Ice Show), the Wii and Nintendo DS versions will be available when the film hits theaters, and a PlayStation 2 version of the title will be available alongside the DVD release.
