Hooray for great games being ported to the Wii that are actually improved by the transition from regular ol’ gamepad to Wii Remote! Here’s hoping that all of the people who missed checking outOkamion PlayStation 2 will be enticed enough by the port’s control scheme to give the game another look.Capcom was kind enough to send over some new images ofOkamiWii, so take a look at the gallery below if you’re interested in seeing what the game looks like in 480p widescreen....

I love the originalBoom Blox. What a truly happy game — not enough of those around these days! We’ve seen a little of whatBOOM BLOX Bash Partyis going to look like inrecent trailers, and today EA released some new screens as well, which you can check out in the gallery. No matter how muchpeople diss the Wii, there are some games you just can’t argue are a blast to play on it, and this looks like it’s going to be one of them....

We’ve all been there.You’re driving down the streets of Las Vegas after a Tyson fight, Suge is at the wheel, and as you pull up to a stop light a whole gang of ni***s in a white Caddy pop off 12-13 shots through the door of your Beemer. You’re hit, fatally wounded and go on to make more money posthumously than you ever did while you were alive. It’s a common story, really....

Just last night we learnedofNi no Kuni‘s release date, and it was then that we heard that a PS3 bundle was also in the works. Level-5’s PS3 release will hit Japan on November 17th, and this Magical Edition PS3 bundle will land on the same date.The game itself isnot a port of the DS version. It was developed separately withdifferent story developments,graphics, and artwork, which will now better showcase the pretty Ghibli animation....

I went pretty boring with that headline, didn’t I? I guess it’s because this isn’t the most exciting post. We’ve beenall overNinja Gaiden 2 Sigma, so I’m not so sure if anyone is going to get too excited over this launch trailer other than the fact that it’s very well put together. It is over four minutes long, though, and it does contain some never before seen stuff in it. Also, is that a hint at a thirdNinja Gaidengame at the end of the trailer or are they just hinting at DLC or extra content?...

TheNPD data for Marchis out, and it tells us thatRed Steel 2only sold 50K in its opening month. Not good, especially compared with other games that debuted in March (likeGod of War III, which sold over a million) and long standing Wii sellers (likeNew Super Mario Bros. Wii, which has been out for almost six months, but still sold nearly a half million copies in March alone). Ubisoft is already working some damage control PR on the situation, stating that the game only had 12 days to rack up sales last month, and that the NPD doesn’t collect data from “all retailers”....

The title of this post is a reference tothis video, which is what I instantly thought of upon hearing the name of the new WiiWare game from DK Games released today,Fishie Fishie. And then I watched the trailer and became entranced. Don’t let the name fool you. This game looksintense. A hundred levels of fish eating fish and pure chaos controlled only by one button. That sort of simplicity really appeals to me, especially if the game is as frantic as the above trailer would suggest....

A sports game? On my Wii? It’s more likely than you’d think. Memes aside,Summer Olympicsis just what it sounds like — a collection of sports events that all take place at the Summer Olympics. Yet another title in the series of Crave Entertainment previews I’ve been bringing — this one developed by Conspiracy Entertainment, though. The other title, also developed by Conspiracy Entertainment, is calledCrash Time: Autobahn Pursuit. Get your chance to play as German police, pulling over criminals, writing speeding tickets, and all the other exciting parts of being a police officer!...

Plants vs. Zombiesis a much-loved game around these parts, which pleases me greatly. If you are one of the few who hasn’t played it yet, or you simply cannot get enough of lawn defending, the shiny Game of the Year Edition is for you. Out now for $19.99, this version has new unlockable achievements, and much more importantly, a tool that allows you to create your own custom zombies. You can actually try this Zombatar feature out at thegame’s official site....

It’s a weird time forPodtoid. It’s our 150th podcast, but it’s only the second episode of an all-new show. It’s not like we can do a retrospective or anything. What we can do, however, is somebloody good chat, so you’re at least walking away with that.
