Cooperative carnage in Rage’s Water Service

As it turns out,Ragehas a co-op mode. In this mission, vile fiends have placed bombs throughout Wellspring in an attempt to destroy what’s left of the water supply. There’s an awful lot of running, gunning, and reloading. Seriously, whoever was playing reloads as much as I do — which is to sayat all times. With the combo system and separate point totals per individual player, this could go from friendly fun to mean-spirited name calling in an instant....

Darksiders: Wrath of War screens are full of wrath. Also, war

A few people have been saying thatDarksiders: Wrath of Warisn’t looking too hot lately. I have decided to completely ignore these people and continue to convince myself that it will be the greatest game ever made and the discs will be packed with glowing butterflies that flutter from the case when opened and surround you in a warm, loving light. I’m easily pleased when it comes to action games. If you can give me a shedload of enemies, some simple combos, a rudimentary leveling system and plenty of blood, I’m perfectly happy so long as you don’t find ways to stuff it up....

Dead Space 2 action figure is f*cking awful

I’m usually a big fan of NECA’s work. TheirAlienstoys are great and they do some remarkable videogame figures. ThisDead Space 2Isaac figure, however, makes me want to vomit onto my hands and balls. It may be a case of bad photography, but since this is an official shot, and official photos tend to make toys look better, I can only assume that the figure looks just this bad. Orworse. From the gaudy, child-like bloodstains on his armor to the bizarre body shape that makes it look like he has a wasting disease, I can only feel sorry for theDead Space 2protagonist....

Did you win a Cursed Mountain prize pack? Follow me…

You know what I did this morning? I got up early and read a hundred and seventy separate comments about the survival horror you guys remember. No, I didn’t skip any. I read them all. While it did take me quite a while, I think this contest was a bit more fun for me than most of the ones I run for the site. Of course, that’s a bit biased because I love survival horror … but also because it was kind of like sitting around the campfire with all of you and hearing how it all started for you when it came to loving horror....
