Seven45 Studios has revealed the full soundtrack for its upcoming music title,Power Gig: Rise of the Six String, and I hope you like Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band, and Kid Rock. Those particular artists have exclusively licensed their music for use inPower Gig, and Seven45 studios is taking advantage of the agreements by putting multiple songs from the artists on the disc. Clapton fans can play along with “Layla,” “Lay Down Sally,” and “Let It Rain....

Fans of all things retro surely realized when they first sawNew Super Mario Bros. Wiithat the game definitely pays homage to our side-scrolling roots. Atgamescomthis year, a new trailer was debuted in addition to a few new screenshots (and a few we had already seen). The first time I heard aboutBlood Stone 007was in a random tweet that mentioned that it was announced. I got all excited since I thought it would be a new movie and, to be honest, was kinda let down when I came to know that it was “just” a game. With the feeling of not really caring very much, I went into a demo and was just blown away! Bizzare Creations are best known for making solid and thrilling driving games, and driving around in beautiful Aston Martins was obviously going to be good, but it is the third person action that convinced me that this game has the potential to be the first James Bond game since the times of the N64 to be a true Bond game that lives up to the name....

Germany has been looking at ways to combat truancy in its schools, believing that skipping school can lead to crime. Officials have decided that one cause of truancy could be videogame demos, and following on from this train of logic, it is possible thatretailers may be askedto switch off demos during school hours. Multiplayer maps and weapons from the classic Bond shooter will be coming toPerfect DarkXBLA, effectively emulating theGoldenEyeexperience without having to finagle a license from Nintendo’s legal department. Clever girl. The maps and weapons were actually part of the originalPerfect Darkwhen it launched on the Nintendo 64. Microsoft’s Ken Lobbs confirmed that these bonuses will be returning whenPerfect Darkre-releases on Xbox Live, taking us as close toGoldenEyeas we can get without a release of the real game....

GRIN’s situation was as dire as recent reports indicated.Following several office closuresand heavy layoffs, GRIN announced that the studio is no more. In a somber message on itsofficial Web site, founders Ulf and Bo Andersson cite delayed publisher payments as the reason for its closing. “It is with a heavy heart we announce today that GRIN has been forced to close its doors,” the posting reads. “This as too many publishers have been delaying their payments, causing an unbearable cashflow situation....

Rockstar Games has announced that the PlayStation Portable version ofGrand Theft Auto: Chinatown Warswill be available on October 20. Confirmed via thedevelopers official Twitter account, the game will be available at both retail and via the PlayStation Network (for you PSPgo people). Not much is known about the PSP version ofChinatown Wars, which wasannounced a few months back. We’ve yet to see a screenshot, but we did see some box art… which told us nothing....

Well it seems that Red Octane has informedGameSpythat the 360 version ofGuitar Hero 2could support online play through a downloadable patch: However, online multiplayer may not quite be dead yet. According to Red Octane, multiplayer is something they really wanted to get in the game, and may still add via an update down the road. The key, it seems, is co-op play, which is a lot trickier to make work (the pro-tourney mode is essentially two players independently playing against the computer, while co-op requires direct interaction between the players)....
