You’ll be able to fly Superman style and also hover horizontally. Capcom and Airtight Studios have spent a lot of time making sure the flight mechanics are … airtight. It takes a little while to get the hang of and after awhile, flying feels pretty natural....

Among the flurry of press releases and nude pictures of adoring female fans, 2K Games and 2K Sports have revealed their line-up for E3 2007. The list of games being shown offers little to no surprises, which seems to be the theme so far with many companies at this year’s event....
I always figured racing wheels were something you either went all out on, or didn’t buy. Guess not?Microsoft has a newWireless Speed Wheel that looks funky, but is affordable. Apparently, it’s launching in early October … with shipments going out to retailers on September 26. Is that an invitation for stores to sell the things early, or what? These wheels will be $59.99 a pop whenever they do ultimately get into consumers’ hands....

Electronic Arts has announced today that they’ll be bringing the classicMonopolyboard games to consoles in a whole new way. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Parker Brothers publishing the firstMonopoly, EA is going to release a version of the game where players can go street level and see the development of the city around them. Xbox 360 and Wii users can have their Avatars/Miis running around in said 3D city too!...
Eledees(orElebits, depending on where you come from) wasn’t a bad little Wii game, in that “oh God these little things are going to murder me” way. Now they’re coming to the Nintendo DS so they can haunt me on the bus, withThe Adventures of Kai and Zero. It looks like the series is taking a more RPG-esque route on the DS, ignoring the first person zappery of the Wii version....
Here’s a new Japanese trailer for Wii RPGXenoblade. Interesting premise? Check. Dramatic cutscenes? Check. Awesome enemy designs? Check. Gorgeous music? Check. Gameplay footage? Uhm … Seriously, we could really do with getting a look at how this damn thing plays. Everything I’ve seen concerningXenobladepromises a terrific little RPG experience, but until we get a good look at the battle system, this is nothing but concept and whispers. I am itching to see how the gamereallylooks, not just how cutscenesmakeit look....
The Entertainment Software Ratings Board has recently rated theDevil May CryPS2 games for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, ostensibly confirmingprior rumorsthat Capcom was releasing aDMCHD collection. With it being the series’ tenth anniversary this year, it looks like the perfect release. The ESRB has never been wrong yet, mostly because it only rates what it’s seen in the flesh. So, you can practically take this as an announcement. All we need now is for Capcom to give up the ghost and admit it....
Director Josh Bear and and CEO Michael Wilford from Twisted Pixel got themselves up to Dtoid HQ last week and brought a copy ofComic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smileywith them. We played the game for over an hour, and got some insightful (read: hilarious and candid) commentary about the game straight from the guys who made it. It teaches you to say as much crazy stuff as possible, every single day, until your game is released. This time our intrepid designer is talking aboutwhyFable 2wouldn’t work so well with the PlayStation 3. I um and ah because, OK, it’s a quite sophisticated piece of tech. These days I don’t get involved so much with shaders and the actual 3D design any more, the actual programming....
Anyone who owns a Famicom knows that some of the cartridge art was pretty memorable. If you’re really into retro art, in fact, you might find some of those old carts suitable for framing. Or, you could do what theFamicase Art Exhibitdid and just make your own. A cool Japanese game culture store calledMeteorrecently hosted the exhibit, and apparently it isn’t the first, either: there was a 2008 exhibition as well....
