At this year’s E3, Nintendo decided to do one of the things they do best — talk about how awesome they were. They used clips various YouTube clips and one-on-one interviews with Wii owners to the point where it made me sick all in my insides. Then they flashed a Destructoid story on the screen, and it was one of mine, so all was forgiven. Well, Nintendo are done talking about themselves, so they’ve come up with a new idea —MyWiiStory....

Konami (not Capcom, my fail) has announced that the classic X-Men Arcade, complete with cheesy music and bad translation, will be heading to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network soon. No details have yet been announced concerning price or release date, but we shouldn’t have to wait long for a release. X-Men Arcadeis a beloved six-player beat ’em up that is most famous for its unintentional hilarious dialog, at least to me....

Nyko has two 3DS accessories coming out on launch day. One is this Power Pak+, which they say will double the battery life of your Nintendo 3DS. It also features finger rests for gaming comfort. The MSRP on this is $19.99. You’re going to want that with all the Street Pass functionality this system has. A week later they’re bringing out a Charge Base. This will allow drop-in charging for your new Power Pak+....

We’re a tad bit early for Halloween, but this costume is cool any time of year in my book. There’s now an officially licensed American McGee’sAlicecostume out now, available in small, medium and large sizes for about $60. The outfit includes the blue dress, bloody apron with symbol pockets, a removable skull bow and an omega necklace. Retailers like Party City and Halloween Express should stock these, saysGameSetWatch. This could be one of those rare female adult Halloween costumes that pulls of sexyandcool....

Shortly after watching James Carmon’s exclusive Avatar. A sudden depression over came me, I was only able to over come this by playing Virtual Boy for 36 hours straight! Todays P.A.D. is filmed infront of a live studio audience. No its not, but it is filmed it our newly new rent-invaded office....

I am eternally thankful when someone bothers to translate theWeekly Famitsu. When the guys at1Uppoured through the pages of the special PSP edition this week they revealedLocoRoco 2’semphasison biting things. Now, we have the announcement ofPatapon 2’snew four-player multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode works much like the traditional wayPataponis played.Patapon 2will feature giant eggs scattered throughout the levels. These eggs typically carry goodies, so it’s advisable to attempt to hatch them instead of breaking them....

Seeing as it is Easter and I enjoy pushing over small children to defeat the Easter Bunny’s nefarious attempts to hide eggs throughout my house I am taking the day off. However, I figured I would leave you with some Easter gaming fun courtesy of theWashington Post Magazine‘s fourth annual Peeps diorama contest. Every year thePostholds a contest around Easter that tasks people with creating a clever diorama featuring Peeps. While the winner is an epically awesome Peep recreation of the house fromUp, some people turned in videogame related Peep dioramas....

Some of their ideas are cool and genuinely inventive, some of them are not so excellent....

PopCap officially launches the next chapter in the Bookworm seriesBookworm Adventures2today, and it follows most of the usual signature goodness we expect from PopCap: reasonable pricing ($19.95), clever humor, and possessing the capability to inspire a level of addiction that usually only alcohol can command. Interesting to note, however, if that the release of this game also marks a new way of buying the game in little chunks if you prefer to spend a bit less....

DuringGameTrailers TV‘s 2009 VGA’s E3 First Look Special (what a mouthful), Bethesda Softworks’ next videogame was shown … at least I think it was. The game, which is headed to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC as a Games for Windows LIVE title in spring 2010, is being worked on with Splash Damage, and is — last I heard — a first-person shooter. And that, my friends, is about all there is for me to tell you aboutBrink....

Those who pre-order the third-person action title from GameStop will receive one of the three exclusive limited edition cover variants of the first issue ofWanted. Each will be packaged in a “blind” black polybag (like dirty magazines in convenience stores!), and a select number will be personally signed by JG Jones himself....

First off, know that I’m a seasoned piano player. I’ve been playing for over 25 years now, and I still play almost daily. I play part-time in a band or two, record often, and have even taught a few people to play piano. ButEasy Pianofor the Nintendo DS kind of tripped me up. That’s not necessarily a knock against the game, though. For whatever reason, I didn’t do well in my demo time, as evidenced by the above audio clip....
