In news so bizarre it just couldn’t have been falsified, a new PS3 survey is asking some very personal questions indeed. Sony wants to know about your dating habits, and how they are affected by the PlayStation 3. I don’t even know where to begin with this. The survey asks “What are your dating rules around the PS3?” as if the black box o’ Blu-ray somehow dictates who you can have sex with (although I’m guessing a number of N4G users will ask their PlayStations for permission first)....

Sony has announced that it’s making PlayStation Home that much more appealing to gamers by partnering with indie game label Codename to provide original game content. Among the first games announced isDueling Gentlemenby the award-winning Odd Gentlemen, the team behindThe Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. The game will have players using strategy on the huge stage in Home’s Plaza to duel against other denizens of the virtual world. Developer Peanut Gallery will deliverMinor Battle, a team-based, capture-the-flag-style platform game....

Remember the notoriousEternity’s Childreviewfiasco, starring our dearly departed Anthony Burch? Game creator Luc Bernard certainly remembers it, but the infamous indie developer is not one to bear a grudge. In fact, he even makes light of it in the promo art for his upcoming iPhone RPG,SteamPirates. Here, we see a pirate-flavored Mr. Destructoid putting the boot into the main character ofEternity’s Child, fending off an attempting bottling attack while casually supping on some ale....

A brand new Nielsen survey suggests that children aged between six and twelve want their parents to break take out a second mortgage and buy them an iPad this Christmas. According to the figures, kids want expensive, fragile electronic equipment more than a DS. They say children grow up fast these days, and the number seem to back it up. 31% of kids wanted an iPad, while computers and iPods took joint second place with 29% each....

In case you guys haven’t heard, there aretwo versions ofTales of Hearts: one featuring CGI cutscenes, the other with those same cutscenes in an anime style. For you Japanophiles, a newTales of Heartstrailer showcases the anime scenes, illustrated by a company called Production I.G. The exact same trailer, with CG scenes, lies beyond the jump. Personally, the anime style seems sort of flat, while I find the CGI to be pretty resonating....

Team Fortress 2received an update on Monday and some hidden sound files were unearthed to reveal a potential new mode coming to the game. The sound files has the Announcer referring to theTeam Fortresswarriors seemingly friending one another in order to take down the Announcer in the new game type. Blue and Red coming together for the common good?! Unheard of! Whatever this new game mode could be, it sounds pretty exciting … if it actually comes out....

I’m both mad and happy thatThe Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Questis aged at a demographic of which I don’t belong. I’m upset because for once, we are getting a videogame that has a blue sky, but I am also happy because it doesn’t look terribly impressive, even for a game aimed at younger audiences. Then again, I have a younger sister who recently purchased the Wii gameHotel for Dogs. Clearly, most kids do not care about quality — but hey, we were the same way back in the day....

We already know that that Microsoft has shipped Natal kits to developers. But who’s actively working on Natal projects? If you’re keeping a list, addGhostbustersdeveloper Terminal Reality to it. In ajob listing on its Web site, the developer puts out a call for a lead programmer who would “play a critical role” in its upcoming titles, including a “new exciting title that utilizes Natal.” What could it be? We can’t say fur sure, but we can guess — a newBloodRaynetitle that putsyou, the gamer, in the tight, leather and lycra outfit of everyone’s favorite busty dhampir....

That’s what the folks at Capcom told me. And sure, I like the Ace Attorney games, but what doesGhost Trickhave to do with anything? I mean, it’s a great looking game, but I don’t see the connection. Now that I’ve had a closer look at the game, I get where Capcom is coming from when they say thatAce Attorneyfans may digGhost Trick. It comes from the Ace Attorney creators, and while it may not have the courtroom scenes, there’s still a mystery to unravel....

NIS has teamed up with Acquire to do something completely different.Clan of Champions(orGladiator VSas it’s known in Japan) is a medieval-themed third-person action-adventure game in the same vein asDemon’s Souls. The game can be played solo, but it seems that you’re encouraged to play with up to two other people. I only played single-player, but Spencer over at SiliconEra informed me that it’s best to play with others to get the full experience....

I hate to admit it, but the marketing gurus behind thePunch-Out!!Twitter accounthave bested me. Mylast few tweetswere about ripping a muscle in my butt while jogging. Theirs, however, have had quite a bit of substance. Take tonight for example: WVBA Boxing dropped “exclusive” shots of King Hippo, Disco Kid, and Don Flamenco. So, yeah, that’s a lot better than a butt muscle story. As you can plainly see in the gallery — and it really shouldn’t be a surprise — not much has changed with Hippo or Flamenco since their NES days....
