Chinese MMO publisher Perfect World has made an agreement to purchase Cryptic Studios, makers ofStar Trek Online, from Atari. The sale, which is currently pending some closing conditions, is reported to have been made for 35 million Euros.

In addition toStar Trek, Cryptic also developed the successful massively multiplayerCity of HeroesandCity of Villainsgames as well as the (recently) free-to-playChampions Online.
