EA Partners is no longer slated to publish id Software’sRAGEas wasannounced at E3 2008— Bethesda Softworks is now set to do the studio the honors of selling the videogame to the masses.

In an official release blasted to the press this morning, Zeni Max Media announced it had acquired the rights to publish the post-apocalyptic shooter. But Bethesda SoftworkstheZeni Max Media subsidiary, will handle the duties which now includes marketing on top of shipping the game to stores.

This comes as no surprise. In late June this year, Zeni Max acquired id Software. If EA Partners was still publishing, that would have beentotally weird. Like,Mad Max 2-style weird.

RAGEis still slated to hit stores whenever id Software feels like it.
