In my mind, EA and Stainless Games are doing a good thing by making sureRISK: Factionsisn’t a simple, soulless translation of a board game like all too many Xbox LIVE Arcade titles are. With a playablecat faction, and the type of art you would never associate with Risk, they are certainly on the right path.
And the great thing is, you don’t have to enjoy these fresh additions. As wehave since learned, the classic board game will be fully integrated, as will the Risk 2008 ruleset, if you’re into that sort of thing. Everyone wins this way.

These first trailers don’t contain any in-game action. However, what they are lacking in gameplay, they make up for incats. The videos seem like a good indication of whatRISK: Factionsis aiming for; worth a watch, in other words.
