Why would you hire with experiencing working on the Wii if you weren’t making a Wii game? That’s a good question to ask Rockstar North, who recently posted ajob listinglooking for a Physics Programmer with experience working with Nintendo’s console.
As G4 points out, the developer is also looking for a Junior Physics Programmer with experience for all major consoles, including the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo DS, and mobile platforms. Rockstar most recently releasedGrand Theft Auto: Chinatown Warson the PSP, DS, and the iPhone; perhaps anotherGTA(or another franchise) could be making its way to the portable devices soon.
Right now we know Rockstar is working on at least two titles —Max Payne 3and the long-overdueL.A. Noire. Neither of those games are for the Wii or any handhelds that we know of.
