Barriers won’t be the cure-all for enemy attacks in the nextGears of War, according to the latest round ofEdgerumors about the unannounced title. A “US publishing source” has told the Web site that some Locusts will have “tentacle-like appendages” that can reach over cover and tickle Marcus and crew in their meaty spots. The COG funky bunch will also be able to extend their attacks, supposedly, via underground explosives that burrow and erupt behind barriers.
The source’s supposed new intel doesn’t stop there.Gears of War 3is also being said to have mech suits and underwater sections. The latter we get. Flooding is a thing in the last game. But the mechs? We’ll just have to see. And hopefully we’ll get a taste soon if Jimmy Fallon evergets around to letting Cliff Bleszinksi do his thingon the Late Night show … if that is indeed what the Epic man is set to debut.
