An 85-year-old New Mexico man took the law into his own hands, protecting his gaming rig by pulling a handgun on a robber who he found hiding underneath his bed.

After leaving his house for the day, Alton Tillman doubled back, and came back to find his house in disarray. When he entered his bedroom, he found feet sticking out from underneath his bed. Tillman ordered the bad-hider out and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

When police arrived, they found the crappy robber to be a 16-year-old boy, who was still standing against the wall at gunpoint. The boy later led police back to his home, where he had stashed several items stolen from Tillman, including stereo equipment and video game systems. The boy now faces felony bulglary and larceny charges.

“We’re not Superman either, but at least we do have the equipment and the training to (deal with those type situations),” Clovis Police Captain Whitney said. “That’s a good way to get hurt, (and) that’s what the police are (here) for.”
