I was a Sega kid growing up. It’s not like I didn’t have Nintendo systems, it’s just that the Sega systems appealed to me more. One of my favorite game series of the Sega Genesis days was the[big surprise here]strategy role-playingShining Forceseries from Sega. And now we hear that the series is making a comeback on the DS.
Shining Force Featheris the name of the newest game, currently set for a 2009 release in Japan.Game|Lifesays that its a cross between tactical and action-oriented combat. Sadly, as of now, we have no screens or art to look at.
We do know that the character designs are in the right hands, with artists “pako” (Shining Force EXAandRental Magica) and Noizi Ito (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) on board.
Hopefully this Flight Plan-developed title will also soon see a US release date soon.
