The majority of people who playedSOCOM: Confrontationhave reported many of the same problems that thebeta had. Disconnections, long loading times, and even game freezes have been reported since the first hour of release. Sony’s servers apparently weren’t ready for the massive amount of users that would grace Slant Six’s shooter. Thankfully, a “stability patch” is on the horizon that will address all of those issues and more.

A posting on the officialSOCOMblogby director of development Seth Luisi indicated that work is being done and that a patch should arrive fairly soon:

…we are also working on a new client patch which resolves some client side stability issues. These issues include getting booted to the XMB, large number of players getting disconnected from a specific game and other issues. We’ve been working on and testing this since the game launched and we should have a final version ready for release in the next week or so…

I was often discouraged during the beta with the frequent disconnects initially. But in the course of the beta, I was very happy with the way Slant Six managed to smooth it out. How many of you are having issues with the game thus far?
