Sebastian expectsSporeto sell two million units in the US and that there will be 650,000 sign-ups forWarhammer Online. In addition to those September sales, Sebastian also predicts a decent August for EA by citing that back-to-school shopping may have had an impact in the month.
Sebastian cautioned hardware sales might have taken a slide due to the poor supply of the Wii and the transition to new SKUs for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
While I agree that hardware will probably sell somewhat poorly and thatSporewill take off, I have to disagree with the notion that back-to-school shopping has led to increased sales of some titles. When I was younger, my mother would have rapped my jaw if I stood in the videogame aisle pointing atMaddeninstead of picking out a new Trapper Keeper and pencils.
