We’re close to hearing the results of the massive Soldier vs. Demoman conflict! Wouldn’t you know it, last we heard, the gap between the kill counts became ever so small. At this point, either class could come out on top and win an exclusive new weapon. If only Valve would hurry it up. The war may be (technically) over, but wemust remain patient.
TheSoldier is gettinga new melee item called the Equalizer in addition to a bugle. Yes, a bugle. The Equalizer is a pickaxe that’s centered around you taking a beating. “Get close enough to death, and you will become Death himself.” So cool! As for the Buff Banner, it allows you to rally your team after inflicting enough damage, temporarily giving nearby teammates the power of mini-crits.
And then there’s theDemoman’s weapon. The Scottish Resistance, as it’s so wonderfully called, is a defensive sticky bomb launcher; it allows for twice as many bombs to be put out onto the battlefield, and the SR can even take out enemy sticky bombs too. Also, you can detonate specific groups of bombs rather than the whole lot of them. Oh yeah, come to papa!
