With Capcom’sStreet Fighter IVhitting stores tomorrow, Namco Bandai are scrambling to make some noise. The publisher has sent over 16 screenshots from their upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 fighter,Tekken 6.

It seems that fans of fighting games are always divided into a few camps, with some defending Capcom’s 2D fighters and others swearing by the 3DTekkenseries of games. At last week’sStreet Fighter IVlaunch party in Los Angeles, someone tried to convince me thatTekken: Dark Resurrectionon the PlayStation Network was the best fighting game available on consoles, including Street Fighter IV. There were free drinks to be had, so I didn’t argue.

And I’m not going to argue the point now, either. Rather, I’d like to let you guys duke it out. Is Street Fighter IV more of the same 2D fighter formula with a new coat of paint? Has the Namco Bandai and itsTekkenseries always been light-years ahead of Capcom’s fighters? WillTekken 6be the fighter of choice when it ships later this year?

Chances are, a lot of you haven’t playedeitherof the games. But hell, that hasn’t stopped you before. So …Tekken 6orStreet Fighter IV?
