LocoRoco Midnight Carnivalfor PlayStation Portable/PSPgo hits PlayStation Network next week, but Sony was nice enough to pass the goods to us a little early. While we have to wait until October 29 (when the digital-download-only games hits PSN) to give you our full review, we were given the greenlight to show off the first few areas of the game to give you a taste of what to expect.Gameplay is similar to the previous games, using the shoulder buttons to tilt the game’s world, navigating the LocoRoco’s through some wild, roller coaster-like environments. While jumping was always done by tapping both L and R simultaneously,Midnight Carnivaladds a new twist — the “super jump,” which lets you bounce even higher, jump off walls, and snag some extra points. Also back — that music. Either you love it or you hate it, but one thing is for sure, it’s ridiculous catchy. Warning, after watching this video, you may require a lobotomy to get the main “yeah, yeah… yeah-yeah-yeah” theme out of your head. You’ve been warned.Again,LocoRoco Midnight Carnival(which features 16 levels, extra mini-games, global leaderboards, and ad-hoc co-op) will be available for download on October 29 for $14.99. Check back then for our full review.
