In a blog post,Edmund McMillengave us the skinny on a game he’s working on,The Binding of Isaac. He says it draws inspiration fromThe Legend of Zelda‘s dungeon structure, controls likeRobotron: 2084andSmash TV, and is coming to Steam this August for a price that “won’t put much of a strain on your wallets.”

Do I even need to go on?Isaachas a “randomly generated semi-RPG world filled with power-ups, items, and special abilities.” The majority of the in-game items stack, “so as you progress your character will change into a monstrous powerhouse not only in stats and abilities but also in appearance.”
