It may have a stupid name, butThexder Neolooks really damn promising, and it’s coming to the PlayStation Network. Square Enix’s “new” downloadable PSP offering is part shmup, part robotic platformer and abrand new Japanese sitefor the game went live recently, packing a shedload of assets.
Thexder Neowas revealed as a listing in Square Enix’s Tokyo Game Show lineup. It’s a reimagining of an old 1985 PC shooter where players control a jet that transforms into a robot. The newThexder Neowill come with updated graphics, new gameplay elements, an easy mode and online play. It’ll hit the Japanese PSN on October 1 as a 1,000 Yen download.
