Hrmm, Hrmm… In a news release that has the Internet making a sandwich, THQ announced that the sequel to their surprisingly high selling franchiseSaints Rowwill be arriving on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 next year.
AGOURA HILLS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–June 15, 2025–THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced the next title in the award-winningSaints Row(TM) franchise is currently in development at internal studio Volition, Inc. and is scheduled to ship for the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system and PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system in 2008. The game will utilize Volition’s proprietary open-world engine and deliver an all-new, cross platform gaming experience.

Understandably, there may be some 360 fans that have been awaiting a sequel, but alas, the Sony crowd will be introduced to the thuggalicious world ofSaints Rowwithout any pretext. According to an article over atNextGeneration, the PS3 version ofSaints Row— which is supposed to be out around nowish — has been cancelled due to the fact that the game would “essentially be a port.”
That’s too bad, I guess we’ll just have to findsomething else to playuntilSaints Row 2comes out.
