I was all overTiger Woods PGA Tour 10for the Wii. It was my first experience with the Wii Motion Plus controller, and I came away impressed. Kick-ass game, folks. This year’s version, PGA Tour 11, has a few realism-based improvements on an already spiffy game.
The new Advanced Plus and Tour Pro swing options will make this game even more realistic, which may screw some of you up even more. Advanced tracks both swing rotation and swing plane, meaning that your virtual club’s path is followed exactly. What’s even scarier is that Tour Pro mode even measures the point of contact on the ball. This means thatyou can actually miss the ball when swinging. I can already see myself throwing controllers.
There’s a new camera view called True View. This first-person perspective has you actually looking down at the ball, and not Tiger’s back. This puts you in the position to swing the club properly. This also puts you in the position to lose more easily. Can’t wait.
When this increased realism gets to be too much, there’s still frisbee golf and a new mini-golf mode (shown above).
