A new video is doing the rounds that shows off a little bit of the canceledAliensRPG from Obsidian. The game had been in development since man first learned to walk upright, but Sega pulled the plug shortly after the announcement ofAliens vs. Predator. This new footage has been confirmed as real, so check it out.
It doesn’t show very much, mostly thanks to how dark the footage is, but it definitely has something of aMass Effectvibe to it, with third-person shooting as opposed to any turn-based shenanigans. Many had wondered how anAliensRPG might work, and it seems that it could have worked quite well if it continued like this.
In any case, we’ll never see the game now, it seems, so this rough gameplay snippet will have to do. Enjoy!
