The folks over atGaming-Agehave received a copy of the retail boxed version ofVirtua Fighter 5for the PS3 and have uncovered something that hopefully is just a typo. The North American box listed 720p as the only supported HD video format available, while this week’s Japanese release supports 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Jim at GA goes on to explain that some gamers with the Japanese version claimed that the 1080p content “didn’t look quite right” and that it may just be upscaled.
Sony, SEGA, please give us something to appreciate our 1080p televisions with other thanRidge Racer 7and some Blu-ray movies. You can’t just take away multiplayer and then think it’s OK to remove Full HD too.
