The past Spike Video Game Awards have attempted to mix Hollywood with the world of gaming with varied results, and this year’s show (which airs this Saturday on Spike TV) looks to be no different.

However, with the synergy of Hollywood and gaming now stronger than ever, it looks like the marriage may start to make a bit more sense. Case in point: Not only will the VGAs host the premiere of Ubisoft’sPrince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, but it will also be the premiere of a new clip from Disney’s upcomingPrince of Persia: The Sands of Timefilm.

But the Hollywood connection doesn’t simply end there, as Geoff Keighley has revealed (visTwitter) that actor Jake Gyllenhaal (who plays the Prince in the film) will introduce the clip personally. How’s that for star power?
