RememberDoritos: Dash of Destruction? How could you forget? The game was surprisingly not terrible for a little free game that was designed purely for Achievement whores, and the charm of a game in which hungry dinosaurs try to eat trucks full of popular corn snacks can’t be denied.Dash of Destructionwas evidently a successful venture for all involved, because they’re planning to do it again and are offering $50,000 to anyone who can design a game.

Doritos and Microsoft are holding an “Unlock Xbox” design contest for creative minds to send in their ideas. If you can come up with a game idea that embodies the “big, bold and intense spirit of the Doritos brand,” you could land a job as a Doritos Gaming Consultant (seriously) and nab $50,000 for your trouble.

The Unlock Xbox contest, which is driven by a collaboration between the Doritos brand and Microsoft, originated in 2007 and lead to the creation of the record-breaking “Doritos Dash of Destruction,” the first consumer-created Xbox LIVE Arcade game, which went on to become the fastest Xbox LIVE Arcade game to reach one million downloads.

Starting today, people in North America are invited to submit game concepts that embody the big, bold and intense spirit of the Doritos brand, for the chance to have their idea developed into an Xbox LIVE Arcade game for the Xbox 360.  Fans can review the submission terms and enter their ideas via video submission through Jul 04, 2025 at www.unlockxbox.com.
