Activision has sent over the latest assets forTransformers: War for Cybertron. Firstly, there’s a brand new video outlining the game’s story. Key notes involve the introduction of Bumblebee and Starscream’s backstory. As a huge fan of Starscream (and hisTwitter account), I’m really anxious to see what they do with everybody’s favorite robotic backstabber.
Three new characters have also been introduced. First up is Sideswipe, a competitive Autobot with a need for speed. Then there’s Jetfire, one of the more fascinating Autobot characters. True to his G1 roots, he is a scientist who joined the Autobots after falling out with Starscream and disapproving of the Decepticon methods. Finally, we have Thundercracker, the last of the original “Seekers” to be included (alongside Starscream and Skywarp). He’s also very true to his G1 character — he hates anything that can’t fly as he does, and he’s also cynical about the Decepticon cause to which he joined.
Yours truly will be checking outWar for Cybertronin a few weeks, and I’m actually looking forward to it more than E3 right now. That’s how much I love robots that can turn into jets. I shall keep every finger crossed for its success, and I can’t wait to see how this turns out.
