In less than an hour, at 8 PM EDT, boxing promoter extraordinaire Don King will launch his very own Web channel,DonKingTV.com. What does this have to do with videogames? Well, seeing as Mr. King will soon have hisvery own videogame, he and 2K Sports are collaborating to cross-promote both the Web site and the game,Don King Presents: Prizefighter(along with another 2K Sports game that’s been shunted into the giveaway on the side).
The presentation tonight will feature a live webcast of a “Meet Me in St. Louis” championship doubleheader: IBF champion Cory Spinks versus Verno Phillips and undefeated 140-pounder Devon Alexander against Miguel Callist. Out of the people who log on to watch the Spinks-Phillips bout, five will be chosen at random to receive free copies ofDon King Presents: Prizefighter— but presumably not until the game’s June 10th release date.
