D3’s promotingGods Eater Bursthard, and one of its selling points is its more…I guess the word is itsslightly edgieranime style. I mean,Monster Hunteris plenty Japanese, but more in a goofy Capcom way. That doesn’t always fly with the belts-and-zippers crowd.
They even knew that when the game came out, which was why a big ol’ fully-animated prequel was commissioned from ace anime studio Ufotable (they made the lovelyKara no Kyoukai – The Garden of Sinners, for those of you that care).
It’s twelve minutes long, and features such things as monsters straight from yourShin Megami Tenseinightmares, giant chainsaw swords that turn into giant guns that turn into giant monsters, and assault rifles with glowy bits. You won’t see this show in the actual game, so this is the best place to actually watch it.
