In announcing its first quarter calendar 2011 financial results, Activision Blizzard has dropped some insane statistics relating toCall of Duty. Unsurprisingly, add-on content for the series continues to do remarkably well.Black Ops‘First Strike packwas downloaded 1.4 million times within 24 hours of going live.
The company says that “To date,Call of Duty: Black Opsplayers have logged more than 1.2 billion online hours of online gameplay.” The number of total unique onlineBlack Opsplayers was 33 percent greater than the total unique players ofModern Warfare 2for the first five months after each title’s release.

Additionally, downloads of the First Strike DLC were more than 20 percent higher than downloads of theStimulus PackforModern Warfare 2“during the comparable period in 2010.” Yup. Sh*t is mad popular.
