A few new screenshots have been released forA2M’saction game,Wet. The company providing the screens isn’t A2M or a publisher. They come from the Swedish rendering studioIlluminate Labs, who have also worked on several modern games likeMirror’s Edge,Tomb Raider UnderworldandKillzone 2.
These screens don’t reveal anything significant aboutWet, other than that the protagonist (Rubi) likes shooting things in mid-air, which is consistent withprevious footageof the game that portrays her as an acrobatic killer able to take out a group of enemies with a couple of revolvers and a ninja sword. The action is gratuitous — just the way we like it.

There’s a hitch, though. The game is slated to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at some point this year, but it no longer has a publisher.Wetis one of the victims of Activision Blizzard’s acquisition of Vivendi Games, which putGhostbusters,50 Cent: Blood on the Sand,Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark AthenaandBrütal Legendon the street.
Hopefully, we’ll soon be able to report thatWethas found a home, just like all the other aforementioned titles.
