Xbox fanatics seem to be obsessed with the idea of a portable Xbox. The other portable game systems out there? Not good enough. Microsoft or bust, I guess they’re thinking. Perhaps this concept byCarl Archambeaultwould fit the bill for them.
Carl calls this the Xbox 1080. It sports a pop-up LCD display that can be retracted into the system for maximum portability. On its face are all the buttons from the controller that you’ve come to know, plus a few extra for media control and menu functions. The whole idea was to combine the best parts of both the Xbox 360 console and the Zune media player.
Before you get too excited, know that this is just a non-working prototype. Besides, where would the game go? Nevermind that this looks like it would be a bit uncomfortable to hold.
That all being said, I’d take a MS portable if they made one. A little XBLA-only portable could be cool.
