Yesterday,Ars Technica reportedthat one of their informants passed along information regarding some new Xbox 360 packages, set to ship this October. According to the report, both the Xbox 360 Pro and Elite will come bundled with withForza Motorsport 2and Activision publishedMarvel Ultimate Alliance.
Today, listings have appeared on Best Buy’s Web site which support these claims — both theXbox 360 Elite Bundle($449.99) and theMicrosoft Xbox 360 Console Bungle($349.99) are being listed, and available for pre-order. While no date is listed, Ars Technica’s mole suggests October 9 for the Pro and October 23 for the Elite.

Additionally, this mysterious and all-knowing mole also suggests a new Xbox Core SKU will be available at the end of October. It’s said to include a new version of the system with an HDMI port, a wireless controller, a 256MB memory card, and five arcade games included on a disc (Boom-Boom Rocket,Pac-Man,Uno,Feeding Frenzy, andLuxor 2). The package is said to retail for $279.99, which is an absolutely ridiculous deal, and could definitely move some units for Microsoft this Holiday.
