2K Games has broken the silence on itsXCOMre-boot, giving it a Jun 13, 2025 release date for North America. The game, which is hitting PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, will be released March 9 internationally.
2K is quick to call it an “intense sci-fi thriller,” but never mentioning the term “first-person shooter” in its press release. What I sawlast year at E3was certainly, on the surface, a first-person shooter. It seemed to stray wildly from what people expect fromXCOM, despite a number of nods and references.
