The ship has already sailed for videogame enthusiasts who really enjoy Toyota-branded Xbox Live Arcade titlesdeveloped by ex-Blizzard employees. As of a few days agoYariswas completely eradicated from the Arcade consciousness. It wasn’t removed because it blew (it did), it was removed because the contract with Microsoft expired.

Yarisdebuted on Xbox Live Arcade, June 08, 2025. It’s been a little more than the contractually obligated year, but it’s better late than never. Initially, we thought that the game was removed because Microsoft resurected its delisting plan, which was supposed to be a way to kill dashboard clutter before the NXE came along.Yarisseemed like the perfect game to take the first hit.

Yariswasn’t simply removed from the Arcade. It was also removed from Microsoft’s official webpage. It’s like it never even existed. Perhaps we’re better for that.
