If you’re looking to get down with some of that sweet PlayStation action on the newly announced Xperia Play phone, you’ll need to re-buy the content you may have already owned. You cannot transfer games over to the Xperia from your existing PSN account, says Sony Ericsson.
“[Xperia Play owners] will have to repurchase the games, so it’s not totally integrated,” Nathan Vautier, executive director at Sony Ericsson, toldGamespot UKin an interview. “I think the exciting thing is that there are games which people are very, very aware of.”
I’m sure that some were thinking that a phone with access to and compatibility with PS1 games already owned sounded attractive. This bomb of new information has probably killed that.
