In caseyou missed it, a single-player demo forCall of Duty 4: Modern WarfarePC has been released. Things got off to a rocky start earlier today as many gamers attempted to download it fromYahoo! Games, but failed miserably due to technical issues. Things are looking up now though, as the demo can be found on other mirrors that should, you know, function properly. As far as I know,Domino Rallyhas not yet been released in stores. It’s also not available on GameStop’s site, or most other online retail outlets. The game came out over a month ago, but I think the only places you’re able to get buy it are eBay andBestSKU. There isn’t even a listing for it on the publisher’s Web site anymore. Chances of this game going on to become a collector’s item are fairly high....

Simulation sports games have a doubly difficult job: not only are they tasked with delivering a realistic playable version of a particular sport, but they also must present an experience that looks and sounds like a television broadcast of that sport. Sony’sMLB The Showseries has excelled in both areas for years. But because sports games come out on an annual basis, consumers demand even more — each new iteration must be markedly different from, and better than, its predecessors....

Say what? Roadrunner Records has teamed up with Sony to release a digital EP calledGod of War: Blood & Metal. It’s basically just what its sounds like — unreleased songs by metal bands remotely inspired byGod of War. The EP will feature five tracks, with music by Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Trivium, Opeth, and Taking Dawn. Those who purchaseGod of War III Ultimate Collectionwill get a voucher code to download the tracks, along with the music from theGod of War Trilogysoundtrack....

Katamari Damacyis quite possibly the finest game series of all time based on the age-old premise of rolling balls around to pick up objects while being chided by a homoerotic spaceman, and it was a great disappointment to the millions of fans of this true sleeper classic when Keita Takahashi,Katamari’screator, decided he was done with the series after only three games. A true artist, Mr. Takahashi, felt that his creation was becoming over-exposed and cliche, and that it was a far better idea to walk away while the series was still fresh and original....

Sonic has definitely been hanging around with Mario for too long. Much like the fat plumber’s own brand of tennis games, Sega has announced aracket-based adventureof its own —Sega Superstars Tennis. That’s right, it’s a game I’m willing to bet that 90% of us don’t ever play in real life … but now it has Sonic in! As well as the notorious hedgehog, other announced characters are AiAi fromSuper Monkeyball, Ulala fromSpace Channel 5and Amigo fromSamba De Amigo....

PS3 fans are gettingthe short end of the stickwith their version ofBayonetta. It’s a publisher port of a game developed entirely for the Xbox 360, and it shows. One of the major issues players had was with the PS3 version’s load times, but Segahas promisedto be looking into that particular problem. Don’t expect many fixes before the January 5 release date, though. “I can, in fact, speak on [the developer’s] behalf in saying that a patch to correct this issue is under consideration through development to address the matter of the overwhelming load times withBayonetta,” states a Sega rep....

It’s been awhile since top-down zombie shooterDead Nationhit PSN, but fans can finally rest easy and get their hands on some long-awaited DLC. The self-fundedRoad of Devastationhas been in development ever since the launch of the game eight months ago. Developer Housemarque’s efforts to get the DLC into everyone’s hands really is quite admirable. If you decide to drop the $3.99 onRoad of Devastation, you can expect to find new tools, equipment, enemies, obstacles, and obviously a whole new environment in which to mow down waves of zombies....

Always ready to enjoy some fragging, we spent a couple of hours playing and are here to tell you all about it. Those familiar with theShadowrunfranchise might be a little surprised at what they’re about to find.First of all, if you harbor fond memories ofShadowrunfor the Genesis or SNES, or even the originalShadowruncard game, now would be a good time to put them on hold....

Electronic Arts has today announced the next expansion ofThe Sims 3, bringing dogs and cats and so forth into the game in a variety of ways. The PC and Mac releases ofThe Sims 3 Petswill add content toThe Sims 3, including the ability to raise horses and use them as transportation. The consoles and 3DS will have standalone games that have you solving mysteries. In the 3DS version, the game will use the pedometer in some fashion and the Xbox 360 release will feature Kinect support so you can order your pets and Sims around with voice commands....

Sony has had yet more security breaches. Websites in three countries have been violated, with Sony Music’s Greek site getting hit hardest. According to reports, the personal details of 8,500 Greek customers were leaked online by hackers. Sony has also been hit in Thailand and Japan, the latter of which we’vepreviously spoken about. Talk about kicking a company when it’s down. Can we just leave Sony be for a few weeks?...
