Lionhead set a new date forKnothole Island, the first bit of DLC forFable II. The content is set to go live on January 13 for 800 Microsoft Space Bucks. The date is earlier than what Lionhead originally anticipated. A few weeks back the studio announced that the DLCwould be delayeduntil “late January” as a result of technical problems. Captain Rainbowis one of my favoriteunlocalized games on the Wii. I’m sure I’ll love it even more once I getto play it in English. The Daily Mailis one of the last and most volatile bastions of anti-videogames ignorance in the UK. Demonizing games at every opportunity, this “newspaper” is responsible for the infamous “BAN THIS SICK FILTH” headline that ran following the murder of Stephen Pakeerah, in which the rag called for the banning of games that hadn’t even been released at the time. Amazon has let the cat out of the bag once more, revealing aFallout: New Vegas Game of the Yearedition. The UK version of the site currently haspre-orders priced at £20.62. The news is hardly surprising, considering Bethesda does this for pretty much all its games. While Amazon provides no details, it’s reasonable to assume that this will follow the standardGame of the YearMO, offering all current updates and downloadable content, which so far consists ofDead Moneyand the rumoredHonest Hearts....
Although most RPGs aim to provide an epic storyline for gamers to lose themselves in, very few succeed in such a complete way that they engrave the adventure on your memories. Whether it was my childhood dreams of being a pirate (I thought pirates were both tremendously brave and awesomely sexy) or my affinity for games with a touch of steampunk influence (airships!),Skies of Arcadiadid the job right. Painting adorable, quirky characters against the backdrop of an adventure in the clouds,Skieshad style, substance and fun, and easily ranked among my favorite Dreamcast titles....
The iPhone is often looked down upon by ignorant gamers, disregarded as a legitimate gaming platform. Try telling that to the developers who have helped the App Store attain over 300,000 titles! In just two years, the iPhone, iPod and iPad have amassed that rather incredible number. The Art Attack spotlight falls upon Deimos-Remus this week. Deimos-Remus has a couple of notable series in his art collection. First up is his effort in turningSuper Mario Bros. 2enemies into complete badasses. The Bob-omb, Shyguys and Mouser all get an extreme makeover. I don’t know about you, but seeing an updated version ofMario Bros. 2like this would just be EPIC. The other eye-catching pieces from Deimos’ collection are the mega videogame battles....
