Scribblenautsdeveloper 5th Cell has pushed back the release window for its upcoming shooterHybrid. The studio says it wants to turn the XBLA game into “something great”, so it’s taking extra time to really pour the quality in. According to creative director Jeremiah Slaczka, the game was well received at GDC, but the extra year will help 5th Cell “drill down” everything it’s learned about game development. Fair deal. I love me some 5th Cell and if they want to take some extra time, they’re welcome to it as far as I’m concerned....

TOR books has announced that they will be publishing a third novel based on the fantasy RPG series,Dragon Age. Like the novels preceding it,Dragon Age: Asunderwill be penned by BioWare Senior Writer David Gaider. The story will take place following the events ofDragon Age IIand follow a mage seeking to prove himself innocent of a murder within his order. The book is currently planned for release late in 2011. I’ve never read much in the way of novels based in the worlds of videogames....
