Alien Breedis getting ready to make its return! This according to the ESRB who recently ratedAlien Breed 2: Assaultfor Xbox 360. The game is presumably the follow-up to Team17’s Xbox LIVE Arcade top-down shooter,Alien Breed Evolution. Based on the description the game sounds about the same asEvolution— aliens pop out of things, you shoot them with your rifle/shotugun/machine gun/flamethrower. Sounds okay to me.Alien Breed Evolutionis on Xbox LIVE Arcade now, and presumably comes to PC (via Steam) this week....

The European Union (known in some circles as The Nazi Party 2.0)has given the videogames industry two yearsin order to protect children better. Apparently, game companies are not doing enough to replace parents and teachers and now have to find a way to spy on children 24/7 to make sure their products are not being bought. That was sarcasm, that last sentence. “Creators have to enjoy freedom of expression but at the same time it’s an industry that impacts society,” stated EU Information Society Commissioner Viviane Reding, possibly while annexing the Sudetenland....

Following reports ofNamco Bandai takingSplatterhouseaway from developer BottleRocket and handing it over to the team behindAfro Samurai, we’ve got a comment straight from the dev itself. The statement confirms the cancellation of the development contract, and goes on to say “BottleRocket wishes Namco the best in completing their project.” “[The] development team is looking forward to turning their attention to a new project soon to be announced,” reveals BottleRocket. It’s safe to assume the company’s next game won’t be another retro series reboot, wouldn’t you say?...

There is no blood left in my coca cola stream. The team here at gamescom are literately running off three hours sleep and a ton of free cola from EA.
