I once managed to get a set of Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones (cream colored, natch) run over by a car. I don’t need to discuss the Wile E. Coyote-esque set-up, but it has become my new litmus test for audio hardware. If it still works after getting run over by my brother’s Oldsmobile, you’ve got quality. I doubt I could run the NOX Specialist over with a car and still use it, but I’m getting ahead of myself....
Are there no secrets? A recent survey onGuitar Hero: World Tourleaked to Kotakuhas dropped a bomb of information on some celebrities and artists that may appear in the game when it hits shelves later this year. According to the survey, songs by artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, Muse, and Tool will appear in the title. Additionally, the survey mentions that multiple songs by single artists along with dedicated venues are a possibility....
Sam’s Club was once a store you’d visit infrequently to procure 188-pack bundles of prune diet bars and a small mountain of toilet paper (to be used conjunctionally, of course), but it seems that in recent years they’ve been stepping things up in the game space. One positive move is the announcement of aRock Bandmidnight launch event for some of their locations. Way to go, Sam’s Club! Six Sam’s Club locations in Florida will be opening their doors at midnight on November 20th to kick off aRock Bandlaunch party....
FluffyLogic’sSavage Moonis still coming to PlayStation Network. An update on thePlayStation blogindicated that the downloadable title would be released “soon.” Savage Moonis a sci-fi tower defense game that tasks players with defending an alien mining facility from large bugs. Its visuals make you thinkStarship Troopers, but the game should lack all theboringstuff (plot, acting) that came with the movie. Still, there’s a tiny part of me that wants Michael Ironside in the game....
It has been so long since the Xbox LIVE Arcade port ofDefense Gridwas announced, I was started to think the tower defense game was stuck in development hell. Turns out, I thought wrong — the game is still set to make a summer release. Not only that, butDefense GridXBLAwill be playable at Comic-Con tomorrow. Mad Catz brought more than a batch ofuber-Limited Edition Fight Sticks and Fight Padsto Comic-Con. A recent posting onCapcom’s community bloghas shown us that Mad Catz is serious about this fighting game peripheral thing. Because of an FCC filing that was recently leaked out that pointed to Sony’s own“elite”PlayStation 3, the company has already come out and denied that such an action means a new PS3 is coming out … at this time. In only the vague way Sony can, all they could say was basically no “new product announcement at this time.” Oh come on, just tell us. We already know! FromNext-Gen: “As mentioned when we made the product announcement for PS3, the system will have different configurations (thus, 60GB HDD with memory card slots and Wi-Fi and 20GB HDD without memory card slots or Wi-Fi both exist),” wrote a Sony PR rep in an e-mail to Next-Gen....
