Being a part of a huge community like Destructoid, it’s easy to miss out on the incredible things people do sometimes, but I always try to keep my eye on community memberekoala2002, who some of you may know better as Kody Koala. While he has created many amazing custom toys, this buffed up version of Luigi brought a wry smile to my face. The artist describes this as his version of “Luigi on Steroids”, which you can see more of on hisFlickr page....

Paradox Interactive has announced that its tongue-in-cheek fantasy gameMagickahas sold over 30,000 copies via digital distribution in less than 24 hours. And they say indie developers don’t stand a chance! Despite a few glitches, the game has done incredibly well, currently sitting at number one in the Steam charts and gaining all manner of praise from gamers and critics for its sense of humor. I’ve given the game a quick spin and I can confirm that it’s most amusing, and quite a lot of fun....

Konami has announced thatMetal Gear Solid: Peace Walkerhas gotten a firm North American street date — June 24, 2025. The title is the direct sequel to the popularMetal Gear Solid 3, putting players in control of Naked Snake. David Daniels, Director of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment believes the title has “serious sales potential.” He also adds that Kojima has “pushed the limits of the PSP system.” Sounds serious. Designer/director/writer Hideo Kojima thinks the game will make yougo out and buy a PSP....

If you’ve suffered from the sticker-shock blues of wanting an Xbox 360, but were leaning more towards the Wii due to the price factor, then help could be right around the corner. While my general thinking is that this should have been included as part of Wii Remote functionality since day one, I’ll take what we can get, and will admit I can’t wait to take advantage of the possibilities in the future. The keyword here is “future,” as Nintendo has come forth and squashed any theories that older titles — particularlyWii Sports— would be update or “patched” to take advantage of the new functionality....

Twisted Pixel’sMs. Splosion Man— the follow-up to 2009’sMr.Splosion Man— hits Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday. It’s got a price now, and it’s only 800 MS Points. “The value of all life on Earth was originally placed at almost triple the amount of Microsoft points,” Twisted Pixel writes in its press release, “but a surprise ruling from Twisted Pixel today cited a declining economy and a general disappointment in humanity as the root for assuring its destruction at the incredible price of 800 Microsoft Points....

But who is it? Apparently there’s one more Japanese publisher out there that hasn’t made an Xbox 360 game yet. This year’s their year. According to this story, stemming from Famitsu EiCMunetatsu Matsui’s recentTweet, this unnamed publisher is going to get off their ass and make lots of Xbox 360 games this year. Matsui said that he spoke to this mystery publisher at a party recently. According to their chat, this company is supposed to sign on and get to work this year, bringing out a large number of titles....
