How Microsoft ruined fun for everybody

I love my Xbox 360 just as much asI love my PlayStation 3. It’s got a great library of games that I’ve invested a considerable amount of time and money into over the past few years, and it’s a system that will likely still be serving me for some time to come. That said, in a significant parallel to the PS3, my love for the system seems to come at an inverse proportion to my love for the company behind it....

Irving makes the perfect Joker in Resident Evil 5 PC

Clearly, the PC version ofResident Evil 5is the best one you’re able to own. Why? Because modding it allows you to turn that cackling freak Irving into the joker. That’s what the modding community has done, as demonstrated in this clip which also has Chris Redfield as a rotting corpse and Sheva done up in the style of a Na’vi from James Cameron’sAvatar. They then get attacked by a bunch of machete-wielding Weskers....

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning gets screens

One of next year’s most promising titles is easilyKingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It looks beautiful, has a wad of talent behind it, and I’ve been told by those who have played it that it’s a lot of fun. Sadly still, nobody’s paying attention to it. Hopefully that’ll change once EA decides to start properly promoting the thing, but in the meantime, help yourself to some new screenshots, just as a reminder that it exists....
