The firstHalo: Reachimages might have been leaked this afternoonvia the MLG message board. Rumortoid: Left 4 Dead headed to PlayStation 3 (Update)

Words can’t express how badly I need to be playingLeft 4 Deadright now. Turtle Rock Studios’ cooperative multiplayer survival-horror first-person shooter not only falls into more genres than you can shake a stick at, but it also looksdamned good. For now, Turtle Rock has only announced the title for the Xbox 360 and the PC. And, if you were totally hardcore, you’d at least own an Xbox 360 or a PC capable of running the game when it’s released later this year....

Rumortoid: Nintendo ‘bummed’ that Kid Icarus Wii wasn’t ready in 2008

Although I freaking loveAnimal Crossing: City Folk, I understand why a lot of people thought Nintendo’s 2008 holiday line up was pretty weak. Compared to Q4 2007’s releases ofMetroid Prime 3andSuper Mario Galaxy, and Q4 2006’sThe Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Q4 2008 on the Wii was the driest holiday yet for the little white shat-box. Rumor has it that this dry spell wasn’t always part of the plan. According to an inside source, Nintendo was originally planning to presentKid Icarus Wiiat E3 2008, then release the game a few months later....

Who would have thought thatDragon Quest IXwould besuch a popular gamein Japan? The official tally since the game’s July 11 launch is 2.34 million, which any analyst would officially recognize as “a buggering f*ckload.” Naturally, huge sales of aDragon Questgame are to be expected in a country where people skive off work in droves so they can stay home and play the game, but it’s still impressive....

Square’s franchise-pimping “new business model”: Updated!

Update:So, the guys over at PlayStation Universe didn’t cite a source for this story, which was wise, because it turns out that it’s bogus. Seeing as how I along with the guys atJoystiq,Siliconera, andEvilAvatarwere not really able to decipher the moon language on Square-Enix’s Japanese Web site, the story was posted damn near everywhere. Chris Kohler put the pieces together — namely, older Digg stories with similarly-worded verbiage — and traced the “story” back to its source: an unfunny fake news report from an unfunnyfake gaming news site....
