Instead of going the route of extremely small microtransactions like horse armor or dens to put stuff in, Bethesda is looking towards larger content that involves the player to a greater degree. Bethesda has just announced that “Dead Money” will be the first downloadable expansion forFallout: New Vegas. The content finds the player on the wrong end of a deal, having to work with three other wastelanders to recover the illustrious treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. Bethesda is promising that the content will offer up new areas to explore, as well as fresh enemies to kill. It’s exclusive to the Xbox 360, and will be available on December 21 for 800 MS Points....

Fan translations are nothing new. Usually, its the result of Japanese games not getting released in English despite fan demand. Which of course begs the question — who the Hell is demanding their games in Latin!? Whether people want it or not, one is coming. One plucky fan is working on creating a Latin version ofFinal Fantasy. The game has been ported by Square Enix countless times, so one more version shouldn’t hurt....

Gameloft was one of the first to really jump on mobile games and try to make them…well, good. My iDevices have plenty of their titles on them, but I never realized just how many they’ve made, and how well they sold. Gameloft announced this week that they’ve exceeded 20 million paid game downloads on Apple’s App Store since the store opened in July 2008. That’s incredible. And don’t group their releases with the multitudes of turds on the App Store: 42 of the 47 titles they released this year made it to the top 5 best-selling games list, with 25 hitting #1....
