Why is Kojima tweeting about Zone of the Enders 3DS?

Metal Gearcreator Hideo Kojima is a feisty little minx. It wasn’t that long ago thathe tweeted something weird aboutSnatcher, and a few months later, we got a screengrab of aSnatcher 2logo (which hasn’t amounted to anything… yet) and the announcement of the radio drama prequelSdatcher(which is areal thing, coming soon). In short, you can’t always tell where they’re going, but in the end,Kojima’s tweetsusually end up meaningsomething. Now he’s tweeting an image of a badassZone of the Endersfigure, with the letters “Z....

The release dates always change just like a bi-polar person’s attitude. This week, the last contestant to the next gen war has entered the stage. The NintendoWii. Shall it succeed? Shall it fail? Activision no longer cares about games it can’t milk to death

This is somerather unsurprising news, but it lends further credence to the idea that Activision has truly taken EA’s place as the crowning dick of the industry. When asked why Activision decided not to pick up certain titles it had spurned (thinkGhostbustersorRiddick), CEO Bobby Kotick simply said that his company was interested only in games that could be “exploited” and turned into huge franchises. Wow … at least Activision doesn’t pretend it’s in this business for anything but cold, hard cash....

Activision’s stance on royalties may have caused The Beatles to go with Harmonix

Back in August, Warner Music CEO Edgar Bronfmanlashed out at the videogame industry, saying that the royalties being paid to record companies for the use of their music in games likeGuitar HeroandRock Bandwere “far too small.” Activision CEO Bobby Kotick retaliated in September byclaiming just the opposite. The original score to the Xbox 360 gameAlan Wakewas composed by Petri Alanko. He chose a romantic score for a physchological thriller. Ballsy, that was. I take my hat off to him for the effort. Bit.Tripwas easily my favorite new IP of 2009.BEAT,CORE, andVOIDare all amazing in their own ways, but as great as they are, they couldn’t have prepared me for this.
